Developmental Therapy

The first three years of life are the foundations for the child’s overall development. During this period brain develops rapidly. Early support, stimulation and a nurturing environment in these years play a major role in shaping the future learning, behaviour and social skills making this stage the most important window for healthy development. Early identification and intervention are essential because the brain is highly adaptable in the first 3 years. Timely support can reduce the impact of delays, improve overall development and give the child a better foundation for learning and life skills.

Development therapy helps us understand how your child is growing in all areas – thinking, talking, moving, playing and daily activities.

A developmental therapist looks at your child’s milestones, identifies where they may need extra support, and teaches you ways to help them at home. Depending on child’s condition, they also refer the child to other services like physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and psychotherapy or ABA therapy so your child gets complete and timely support.

The goal of development therapy is to identify early signs of development delay, strengthen important skills and guide parents with practical strategies to help their child to learn and progress.

At the development therapy department, the therapists assess a child’s development from birth to 6 years across all areas of development using standardized tools. We create individualised therapy plans and guide parents and caregivers with easy home based activities.
